Current & Past > Meet the Artists- Double Vision- at Apple Lincoln Park: Melika Bass & Stacia Yeapanis

Stacia Yeapanis is a Chicago-based interdisciplinary artist and a member of the feminist art collective Henbane. Using the conceptual strategies of accumulation, collection, appropriation and remix in a variety of digital and handmade media, she reveals the collective and personal spaces where the cultural and the spiritual overlap.

Yeapanis' work is included in both the rotating Midwest Photographers Collection and the permanent collection at the Museum of Contemporary Photography as well as several private collections. Her first monograph was co-published in the Spring of 2009 by Aperture and The Museum of Contemporary Photography. Notable exhibitions include Losing Yourself in the 21st Century (Atlanta and Baltimore), MP3 (Chicago), Everybody Hurts (Chicago), and Please Stand By: Stacia Yeapanis + Readymade (New York). She is an artist-in-residence at BOLT and her solo show Over and Over Again will be on exhibition at BOLT Project Space from May 11 - May 31. Yeapanis received her MFA in Studio Art from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (2006).
